Birling Gap, Pevensey Castle and Brighton
07.05.2009
On Sunday all of the ArtSci students got to go on a cultural trip to Birling Gap, Pevensey Castle and Brighton. First stop was the Birling Gap. When my friends and I were exploring the shore, my roomie Alex forgot the way waves have the annoying tendency of coming up on shore and got herself soaked up to her knees.
She was not so happy about having to spend the rest of the day in wet running shoes and jeans.
Afterward we traveled to Brighton and explored the Brighton Pier and Royal Pavilion.

The day ended with a stop at Pevensey Castle, which is a really cool ruin. It was originally built by the Romans, then rebuilt in the Middle Ages, and was eventually used to house military personal during the Second World War.
Per usual, Alex and I got a little excited at the fact that we were visiting Castle ruins.
I will put some more pictures of the castle up soon once I actually have time to go out in them. Taking a bunch of classes definitely keeps me inside a lot!
